Lake Joondalup’s virtual blast from the past thanks to VR

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

VIRTUAL reality has been used to give a realistic 360-degree experience of Lake Joondalup as it was 10,000 years ago.

The City of Joondalup collaborated with North Metropolitan TAFE students and indigenous leader Dennis Simmons for a semester to develop the digital video as part of Naidoc Week celebrations.

Video booths have been set up at the City four libraries – Duncraig, Joondalup, Whitford and Woodvale – until July 28.

Cardboard headsets are provided but bring your own smart phone. It can also be viewed at goo.gl/Y734xF using Google Chrome.
