CITY of Joondalup is looking for more volunteers to take part in its Seniors Smart Travel Program.
Unfamiliarity with Perth’s train and bus systems can often be a barrier for older people using public transport.
Volunteers like Gwenyth Greer are helping to improve this in the northern corridor, providing travellers with one-on-one help.

The program is run in conjunction with the cities of Stirling and Wanneroo and funded by the State Government.
The Public Transport Authority is hosting a training session for prospective volunteers on Tuesday, November 7.
People need to have some experience using public transport, be able to walk 500m to 1km and use a computer or mobile device.
