Asian hub co-ordinator Carmel Agnello said the visit gave students a greater understanding of the relationship with China and encouraged them to excel further in Chinese studies.

“It may also provide inspiration for possible future career pathways which involve building relationships with Asian countries,” she said.

Year 7 student Tom Spencer said he enjoyed the experience.

“I thought it was interesting to see how close Australia is with China in the gas industry and to find out some amazing statistics,” he said.

The visitors also toured the college and participated in a Chinese class.
