Woodvale tragedy: community rallies for John Spicer

THE father of John Spicer who died after a fight in Woodvale on Friday has spoken of his “wonderful son”.

Kevin Hole posted on a Go Fund Me setup to help the 31-year-old victim’s young family.

“Earlier today my wonderful son John passed away,” he posted.

“John leaves behind a fiancé Ava and four beautiful children.

“John and Ava were engaged to be married in April 2017.

“They have also recently purchased a house together.”

More than $20,000 had been raised for the family in the page’s first day of operation.

Mr Spicer died in Royal Perth Hospital after being injured in an alleged fight with a friend on the corner of The Ramble and Trailwood Drive about 1.20am on Friday.

Police said he struck his head when he fell to the ground.

Officers charged the other man with grievous bodily harm.
