JOONDALUP City’s under-14 girls team have completed a remarkable treble.

They won the Football West division 1 league championship, the State Cup and the Top 4 Cup final in their age group.

Coach Scott Griffiths said he was proud of each player.

“They never give up and even though they were 1-0 down with five minutes left in the Top 4 cup final on Sunday, they managed to score a last minute equaliser and win the penalty shootout to secure the treble,” he said.

“The girls have given me a few more grey hairs, but so worth it.”“The girls should be so proud of this extremely rare achievement,” club president Julian Barley said.

“We pride ourselves on developing our female football talent with our targeted training session plans for each squad, and this amazing season for our u14 girls shows we are hopefully on the right track.”
