KINGSLEY Amateur Football Club will host its annual Legends Game this Saturday to honour the seven young men who died in the 2002 Bali bombings and pay respect to their families.

Held at the Kingsley Memorial Clubrooms, the game will see the Kingsley Legends take on Carlisle.

“The game has past players and older present boys, some of which are Bali bombing survivors,” C Reserves coach Dave Hay said

“It is about reuniting the lads every year and remembering those who didn’t return.”

The Year 3s will play a half-time Auskick game at 1.20pm during the Reserves match, also against Carlisle, while the girls will play at 3.30pm for the League game between Kingsley and Kingsway.

The Year 4s will then play the 5pm curtain raiser to the Legends Game, which kicks off at 5.30pm.

To coincide with the game, the club will also host a family fun day to bring together its senior and junior teams and promote junior and girls football.

This will feature inflatable castles, games, handball competitions and face painting.

“The day is all about kids and their future and having fun,” Hay said.
