Dan (55) is a former Aussie Rules footballer who started his career at West Perth, the same club for which his father and 1959 Sandover medallist Brian Foley played.

Dan went on to play for Richmond in the Victorian Football League, debuting midway through the 1983 season and making six appearances, including a five-goal haul in the Tigers’ round 18 win over eventual grand finalists Essendon.

In 1984, he struggled with injuries and played only one league game but retuned for another five games in 1985.

After his time at Richmond ended, Dan played again with West Perth, winning the club’s best and fairest and leading goalkicker awards in 1986.

Dan and Carleen will be at the game from 1pm to meet and greet fans and to toss the coin.
