Premier Cricket: Midland-Guildford gallant but not good enough against Subiaco Floreat

Lynn GriersonMidland Kalamunda Reporter

MIDLAND-Guildford were gallant on Saturday but fell short against Subiaco Floreat at Lilac Hill in Round 13 of Premier Cricket.

The visitors’ top order was far too strong, as they chased down the Monkey Towners’ day one score of 259.

Charlie Cassell (3-85) and Tom Gosling (3-67) were the shining lights in the fixture taking three wickets each to restrict Subiaco Floreat.

Twin tons from Alex Malcolm (130) and Aaron Lilly (113) meant the 259 total was never enough as the side finished 8-387.
