POLICE have charged a man over a dramatic high-speed chase throughout Rockingham and Kwinana, thanks to their new POLAIR plane.
On November 8 last year, Police received complaints about a man riding a trail bike with a machete strapped to his back.
POLAIR observed the man in the Waikiki area and it will be alleged he then accelerated away from police, crossing to the wrong side of the road.

For the next hour the man allegedly rode recklessly through the Rockingham and Kwinana industrial area evading Police, before abandoning the motorbike and running inside the shops.
He allegedly ran from Police through the shopping centre, where he took off the machete and threw it into a retail store.
He also discarded his helmet in another retail store as he ran.
Police eventually arrested the man in the shopping centre where, after a search, Police located cannabis, amphetamines, a meat cleaver concealed in his waist band, the machete and the helmet.
Rockingham Detectives have since charged a 20-year-old Warnbro man with drug possession, going armed in public to cause terror, failing to stop when called upon, reckless driving, having no authority to drive and stealing a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court on 27 January 2017.
