Perth northern suburbs man faces two counts of indecently dealing with child under 13 years old

A northern suburbs man is facing serious historical charges of indecently dealing with a child.

The 31-year-old appeared in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday charged with two counts of indecently dealing with a child under the age of 13 years.

It was his first appearance in court on the accusations after police charged him before releasing him on bail.

Police say the first charge relates to alleged indecent dealing of a child in Craigie between February 7, 2015 and August 31 of the same year.

The second charge relates to alleged indecent dealing in the same period but in Clarkson.

Appearing before Magistrate Michelle Harries, he nodded to indicate he understood the charges.

She remanded him to reappear on May 10 for legal advice, pending an application for legal aid.
