Perth first for fitness space to open within Bicton Central

Two new fitness destinations — including a regional WA favourite — are expanding into Perth’s south this month.

Life and Soul at the Mayfair is “building off the success” of the chain’s 24/7 gymnasiums in Derby, Broome, Port Hedland and Karratha, with its first Perth location due to open on March 23.

Its new home within Bicton Central is set to include a fully equipped gym floor, 24/7 pilates studio and a wellness recovery centre complete with ice baths and saunas.

Owners Cin and Pete said the opening was backed by far-reaching community support.

“Bringing our community-driven ethos to Bicton, Life and Soul at the Mayfair is our tribute to the vibrant local spirit, offering an opulently designed health and wellness space that serves as a place of belonging,” they said.

The Yard Gym, founded in 2020, describes itself as a “boutique strength and conditioning” centre, and is backed by husband and wife team Tiarne and Daniel Bova.

Mr Bova opened the fitness brand after owning and directing three F45 studios and now operates The Yard Gym locations across the country, including in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

It will also open at Bicton Central.

A community preview is being held for the two venues between March 20 and 23.
