Local venues will be open late on both nights with some offering festival specials and extending outdoor areas on to the terrace.

Attendees will receive a map to guide them through the festival and have the opportunity to solve a riddle related to the installations to receive a tasty treat.

Mayor Jock Barker said the event was a great way to activate the Claremont town centre at night time.

“Luminous Street Festival brings the town centre alive as the sun goes down and it shines a spotlight on the fantastic businesses there, as well as local artists and entertainers,” he said.

“We can expect a great atmosphere with Bay View Terrace closed to vehicles, and the same style of fun and engaging entertainment and installations as previous years.

“I’m looking forward to seeing a big crowd of all ages enjoying the event.”
