Mandurah police cleared to take off after cockpit thief

IN a bizarre theft police are searching for the cockpit of a plane stolen in Mandurah.

The front nose and cockpit is from a WW2 Beauford Bomber.

The owners of the cockpit have had it for many years.

It was stolen from the front of their property in Elizabeth Street in Mandurah.

They believe it was stolen between July 20 to 30.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the cockpit is asked to call police.
