MANDURAH and Murray-Wellington MLAs Davie Templeman and Robyn Clark have asked Health Minister Roger Cooke to ensure a sustainable health review community forum is held in Mandurah as part of the consultation process for a review into health services.

The sustainable health review was announced last month and will inform future decisions about the way health is managed and delivered.

Mr Templeman said he had already urged stakeholders and the general public to consider making submissions to the review.

“But I now want the panel holding the review to hear first hand from people about our needs from our health system,’’ he said.

He said Mr Cooke had agreed to put Mandurah on the list of where a forum would be held and he would ensure the community was informed of the date, time and venue as soon as it was determined.

Mrs Clarke said it was important all health services in the region, including Murray Districts Hospital, were part of a sustainable health plan for the Peel.

Public submissions can be made at www.health.wa.gov.au/sustainablehealthreview.
