The teachers spent the day with Opera Australia children’s chorus master Josh van Konkelenberg, studying the finer points of Mozart’s operatic style.

The reason for all the musical activity was that later this year, choirs from both schools will take to the stage with Opera Australia’s professional singers to perform Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.

The two school choirs first worked together in May 2016, performing the live choral accompaniment at performances of Patch Theatre’s The Moon’s a Balloon.
