THE new primary school in Meadow Springs will open to kindergarten and pre-primary students next year.

It will open to students up to Year 6 in 2019.

Set on Broadstone Vista, the new school has been given a planning name of Meadow Springs North, but new principal Will Davis is consulting with the Education Department about the official school name.

“We are also busy organising the school uniforms, hiring staff and the vision of the school,” he said.

“We do know it will be an Independent Public School.”

Mr Davis has taught at primary schools in the UK and has worked at primary schools in Tom Price and Karratha.

He was the foundation Deputy Principal at Baynton West Primary School in Karratha, so has had experience opening a new school.

“It is a privilege and an honour to open this new school and I am relishing the challenge,” he said.

Mr Davis said he enjoyed teaching because it allowed him to connect with students and their families and have a positive impact on their lives.
