Open Studio Collective on now at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

LOCAL emerging artists are intriguing audiences at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah’s first exhibition for 2017, now on show.

CASM’s regular exhibition space has been transformed into six working studio spaces supporting seven Mandurah and Rockingham artists as part of the Open Studio Collective.

The second annual Open Studio Collective features painters Michael Bell and Carmel Sayer, resin artist Trista Campbell, encaustic artist and weaver Helen Coleman, jeweller and photographer Angela Downing, mixed media and powertex artist Ashley Hay and painter and illustrator Belinda Joynes.

The month-long co-operative will enable the artists to develop concepts, explore new materials and techniques in conjunction with maintaining their regular artist practice.
