Oxfam puts the focus on sustainable food

Dressed as carrots, bananas and corn, supporters promoted Oxfam’s upcoming Eat Local Feed Global initiative, which runs from October 12-20.

Oxfam WA campaign co-ordinator Paddy Cullen hoped the community would be part of the cause.

‘Oxfam invites people to share a meal with friends, family or workmates, and raise awareness about the role we can all play in building a future where everyone has enough to eat,’ he said.

‘Eating sustainably and wasting less food are some small actions that can create lasting change. World Food Day is on October 16 and thousands of people around the world will take action.’
