Performance of Stan and Mabel to keep Mandurah school kids enthralled

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

A CONCERT in Mandurah next week will captivate Year 2 to 6 students with its mix of music, illustrated projections and audience participation.

Headlining the 60-minute concert is presenter-composer Paul Rissman’s irresistible musical adventure based on Jason Chapman’s book Stan and Mabel, in which Rissman and the WA Symphony Orchestra tell the story of a music-loving dog and cat on a journey to find the greatest orchestra in the world.

The performance will feature an 11-piece chamber orchestra, one of Perth’s leading jazz vocalists Libby Hammer and Rissman, one of the world’s leading music educators who is coming to Perth for the first time.
