MORE than 20 young swimmers took to the pool at Booragoon LeisureFit earlier this month to help South Shore Swimming Club raise more than $2000.

Each swimmer canvassed their family, friends and neighbours and was sponsored to swim a number of laps.

The fewest laps completed by an individual swimmer on the day was 50, with the most an impressive 170.

South Shore Swimming Club president Debbie Doody said half of the money raised would be donated to a local charity, while the rest would be put towards club-based activities.
