School Sport Australia president Graeme Jennings said the Pacific School Games boasted a proud history of uncovering futures stars of Australia sport.

“Athletes who have competed at the Pacific School Games include former track golden girl Cathy Freeman, swimming star Ian Thorpe and Australian swimmer Kyle Chalmers who last year was crowned the Olympic 100m freestyle champion in Rio,” he said.

The Pacific School Games run from December 3 to 9 in Adelaide.
