AT just 11 years old, Talia Edgar already has a swag of trophies but she is most proud of representing her state as the number one girl at the Super 10s National Championship in Melbourne in January.
Despite coming up against her toughest competition to date, Talia held her own against interstate opposition for two wins and a draw.
The tournament coincided with the Australian Open and Talia was rapt to meet some of the sport’s biggest superstars.
“I got Serena and Venus Williams’ signatures and we also met Australia’s Davis Cup team,” she said.
The Mt Pleasant Primary School student followed older brother Harrison onto the tennis court when she was just five.
She now trains five days a week and was recently selected in the WA State Schools side to contest the 12 and under Bruce Cup.
