ELEVEN youngsters from the Hills District Callisthenics Club, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, will represent WA at the national titles in Sydney in July.

Selected at trials in November, they will be training hard until departing for the callisthenic championships.

Some have already represented WA several times.

The team sport unique to Australia includes a combination of gymnastics, ballet, folk dance, jazz ballet, apparatus (clubs and rods), figure marching, mime and singing.

The club’s annual presentation concert on August 19 will double as 40th anniversary celebration, with past members invited.
