About 1.30pm, the woman was delivering post on a motorbike on Templeman Place in Midland.

She passed a male who was walking along the street.

She then returned to Templeman Place where the male approached her and forced her to stop.

The man pushed her, causing her to fall into a fence and drop her motorbike.

While she was on the ground, he then kicked her a number of times.

The male then ran off along Templeman Place and, despite police attempts, was unable to be located.

The woman was taken by ambulance to St John of God Midland Hospital.
