High Wycombe man (23) charged over shining laser pointer at police helicopter

A HIGH Wycombe man has been charged after a coloured laser beam was pointed at a police helicopter while it was conducting patrols of the Midland area last night.

The helicopter crew were able to pinpoint the location where the beam emanated from and officers from Midland Police attended the identified residence on Railway Parade in Midland.

The 23-year-old man has been charged with causing fear or alarm to people in conveyances and possession of a controlled weapon.

He is due to appear before Midland Magistrates Court on May 19.
