Premier Colin Barnett sneaks in a beer before Guildford Hotel reopening

PREMIER Colin Barnett, invited to officially re-open the Guildford Hotel on Wednesday night, snuck in for a beer earlier that day to inspect the lauded building restoration.

“The owners and the Government have worked co-operatively on the issue and we’ve assisted by allowing development of some apartments on the carpark adjacent to the hotel which helped the economics of the project,” he said.

The re-opening party, ahead of yesterday afternoon’s opening to the public, was a big success.
