Get heavy trucks out of the Valley

IN THE past, I have written to the Swan council and the planning authorities, but no-one seems to care about the serious increase in heavy traffic using West Swan Road.

I have done my own research, which includes following massive articulated trucks, sometimes towing trailers, using West Swan Road as a shortcut from Reid Highway through to Great Northern Highway and vice versa.

In the past, millions of dollars was spent on Great Northern Highway and heavy goods vehicles should use this.

The planners have spent all this money turning a major road into a one-lane road, and let what could be a pleasant tourist area be the slip road for massive noisy vehicles.

The Swan Valley has got to be one of the most uninteresting tourist attractions ” perhaps the Government hasn’t seen that yet, or have they?
