Cafe and gift shop open at Quinns Shack

THE owners of a general store in Quinns Rocks have transformed it into a cafe and gift shop as well.

David Nguyen and Rebecca Mason recently bought the Quinns Shack and have been renovating it to broaden their market.

Ms Mason said they stripped the interior of the Ocean Drive premises and opened a gift shop in the back in early May for local artists to use as a showroom.

“We are trying to bring in the community feel, have it as a meeting place,” she said.

“Dave is very good with people and hospitality and making coffee, I’m more of the business head.”

Ms Mason is also a business consultant and Mr Nguyen has a roofing business as well.

The couple live in Quinns Rocks and have three children – Ava (11), Maximus (6) and Zachary (3).
