A SPRING summer carnival at Clarkson’s main shopping centre helped raise $675 for Soroptimists International (SI) Joondalup.

About 135 people attended spontaneous styling workshops at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre on September 24, where three bloggers Mary-Ann Smilovitis, Raquel Taylor and Sabrina Yates styled outfits on stage.

SI Joondalup plan to direct the funds raised to fabric, washcloths and other items required for the sanitary kits for the Days for Girls project.

The centre was abuzz with families across the weekend who came to experience the carnival atmosphere, including juggling, plate spinning and unicycle riding in circus skills workshops.

There were also circus stage shows, a circus themed craft station, pop-up games zone, bouncy castle, stilt walkers, face painters, balloon twisters and a fairy floss machine.
