TWO Rocks residents have access to local midwifery services after a midwife joined Two Rocks Medical Centre recently.

Community midwife Linda Wilson, who works out of the Key Largo Medical Centre in Clarkson on Mondays, started at Two Rocks on Friday mornings in October.

“She has worked with the King Edward Memorial Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) obstetric teams and most recently with the Community Midwifery Team doing home deliveries,” doctor Sharon Vasey said.

“She is also an experienced lactation consultant.

“Linda will be delivering antenatal care and postnatal care to our patients at the surgery and she also does home visits which can be bulk billed.”

Dr Vasey said the extra services could help young families who would otherwise have to travel to JHC for routine antenatal care.

Located in Two Rocks Shopping Centre, the medical practice has been operating for about six months and has a nurse and pathology service for blood samples.
