The north-west metropolitan DAP will consider the fast food company’s $3.15 million proposal for a 43,676sq m lot on Peony Boulevard on Monday, August 19.

According to a report by City of Wanneroo administration the proposal includes indoor and outdoor seating for 107 people, a cafe, party room, playground, two-lane drive-through facility and parking for 58 vehicles.

The report said it would operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The five-person DAP panel will meet at the Wanneroo Civic Centre at 3pm on Monday, to consider a recommendation to approve the application, with 14 conditions.

During public consultation, the City received 13 submissions, including one from the Two Rocks Yanchep Residents’ Association that contained 13 individual submissions.

‘Various issues were raised by objectors, however, only those issues which relate to the safety of the intersection at Peony Boulevard and Marmion Avenue are discussed in the body of this report,’ the report said.

One of the conditions would require the applicant to provide a road safety audit based on ultimate traffic figures on Marmion Avenue and Peony Boulevard within 60 days of the DAP decision.

‘Should these traffic reports not support the location, then the access driveway will be amended to enable left-in/left-out vehicle movements only,’ the report said.
