Man arrested after being discovered on Clarkson police station roof with molotov cocktail

A JOONDALUP man was allegedly lying on the roof of Clarkson police station with a molotov cocktail on Sunday after a disagreement with officers hours earlier.

Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Fairlie said the accused man (28) went to the station about 2am on May 14 but was told to return during business hours.

The man allegedly returned just before 11pm when police discovered him on the roof.

“He was advised to stay there until they got a ladder,” he said.

“Due to him smelling of gasoline, DFES were called and found a molotov cocktail on the roof.”

The accused man was also allegedly carrying a knife.

Police charged him with making or possessing an explosive under suspicious circumstances.

He was also charged with carrying an article to cause fear.
