JOONDALUP Detectives are appealing for help from the public as they investigate an armed robbery at a Jindalee liquor store.

According to detectives, a man entered the drive-through section of the Marmion Avenue store about 9.20pm on June 1.

“The man selected alcohol products and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.

“He was approached by staff members,” First Class Constable Chris Milonas said.

“The man produced a large knife from within his clothing and pointed it towards the members of staff.

“He ran from the premises with the alcohol, heading towards Jindalee Boulevard.”

Police recently released a CCTV image of a man they believe can help them with their investigation.

The man is described as being dark-skinned, about 18 years old, with a thin build and dark hair.

He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark shorts and had bare feet.
