Yanchep man pleads guilty to murdering his children

A YANCHEP man has pleaded guilty to murdering his two children in the family home last October.

Police were called to a Flight Vista home about 9.20pm on October 20 last year, and found Jason Craig Headland with critical injuries.

They also found his two children, three-year-old Andreas Headland and his five-year-old sister Zaraiyah-Lily Headland, dead.

Two days later Jason Headland was charged with murdering both.

Headland appeared briefly in court via videolink from Hakea Prison on Wednesday morning, pleading guilty to their murders.

His sentencing will take place on July 27 in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
