Carlisle armed robbery: man charged over hold-up at The Lunch Club

REGIONAL Investigations Unit detectives have charged a 36-year-old man from Perth following their investigation into an armed robbery at The Lunch Club in Carlisle.

It will be alleged the man entered a deli on Oats Street at about 2.45pm on December 12 in possession of a knife and demanded cash from staff.

It will be further alleged the man became involved in a physical altercation with staff before picking up a cash register and using it to hit one of the victims to the head.

Police allege the man was involved in burglaries in Victoria Park and Queens Park in December.

He was been charged with aggravated armed robbery, two counts of burglary, two counts of stealing and a breach of bail.

He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
