Oldest alumni and youngest student celebrate school centenary

They are the oldest alumni on record and the youngest current student respectively of Nedlands Primary School, which celebrated its centenary this year.

Phyllis, who attended the school between 1926 and 1932 she was very happy at Nedlands and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Elise said she also enjoyed school, especially playing on the monkey bars.

‘We had parallel bars and I wasn’t very good at them; I was clumsy,’ Phyllis said.

The school recently released a book detailing its 100-year history, including photo and anecdotes of past and present students.
