Grange Realty Group director Kim Findlay, who has worked in the area for 23 years, said the relocation of the West Coast Eagles to Lathlain Park and the $50 million redevelopment of Brownes Stadium would have a significant flow on effect to residential and commercial property.

‘Having one of the AFL’s most successful clubs in our back yard will increase values ” the Eagles redefined Subiaco Oval, property prices there definitely went up.’

Mr Findlay said other projects such as Perth Stadium, Red Castle Motel redevelopment, Belmont Racecourse upgrade, new towers at Crown Casino and the Springs development in Rivervale would also affect property values.

‘That’s six developments within a kilometre, which would be $50 billion worth of development. That’s going to forever impact anyone whose in that near area,’ he said.

‘The Government acknowledged these areas have been underutilised, which is probably paving the way for these developments because the further Perth is developed in the north and south, the more appealing inner city suburbs become.

‘In 10 years time you won’t know the area, I reckon it will be another Subiaco.’
