Terror at Belmont Forum

Sarah Motherwell, Southern GazetteSouthern Gazette

‘You, as an audience member, arrive as a refugee from the attack of these super-sized wasps that have basically decimated the entire city,’ Hunted writer and director Emma Humphreys said.

‘The last resistance are at the Belmont Forum and they start by saying the wasps have won, the city’s a loss but we’ve got this medevac ship coming to pick us up and if you get here by this time, you can come with us.

‘They try to take you through, but it all goes horribly wrong and the wasps attack the shopping centre.’

Hunted has about 20 actors playing various roles in three different storylines, which are assigned to audience members when they arrive, with a secret fourth story line available.

Ms Humphreys said no two shows were the same, and because the show was ‘genuinely frightening’ and required participants to move about for an hour, it was not appropriate for children under the age of 15, pregnant women or people with a heart condition.

Hunted will premiere with a special midnight performance on Friday, September 27.
