It is bizarre that anyone is allowed to wear face covering while swearing their oath of citizenship.

If this is cultural tradition, it may belong in the country that they came from, but Australians believe that all women are to be fully equal in our society and as equals should take the oath as everyone else does, which is openly.

Immigration Minister Brendan O’Connor needs to ban anyone whose face is covered when swearing his or her oath of citizenship to our country.
