Hockey: local duo selected for WA under-12s boys and girls teams

THE 2017 girls and boys 12s State Hockey Teams have been announced by School Sport WA.

The final teams of 14 students were selected based on results from the Bunbury Championship, which took place over the long weekend.

Locals Ashley Muir from Como Secondary College and Charlie McIntyre from Wesley College, along with train-on Trent Horak from Wesley College, were selected to represent the state.

Ashley, Charlie and Trent will head over to Adelaide in December to play at three premier hockey venues for the Pacific School Games (PSG), which will take place from December 1 to 10.

Around 4000 students from across the country participate in the PSG, which is the flagship event of School Sport Australia.
