Doubleview, 152A Wilding Street – End date sale

The property is the first home owners Troy and Asheleigh bought together 10 years ago and, since then, they have welcomed the birth of their three daughters.

Built in 1999, the home has had only one previous owner.

“It has solid jarrah floorboards saved from the original house on the block, which was demolished to build this one,” Troy said.

“We later added jarrah floorboards to the front living room with bar to match the rest of the floors, which we sourced from a gorgeous old house being demolished about two blocks from us.”

The facade of the home is also indicative of the many character features buyers can expect, including the detailed cornicing.

But that is not to say it will not suit contemporary lifestyles as Troy and Ashleigh have progressively renovated the home to suit them better.

“We started by enclosing a number of balconies to create extra rooms for a gym and baby’s nursery,” Ashleigh said.

“We added a gas fireplace and a stone feature wall to the front living area, and we resurfaced both courtyards; one with poured limestone and the other with artificial turf for the kids to play on.

“We also tinted the front and side windows on both levels for extra privacy and to keep the house cooler in summer.”

The house is anchored by a free-flowing, practical layout featuring large, open-plan living areas and fantastic separation of spaces.

Aside from the front lounge with fireplace and bar, there is the main family/dining/kitchen space on the ground floor, which extends into the two outdoor areas.

The larger of the two is the perfect alfresco entertaining area and features a tranquil water feature.

Also on this level are the two minor bedrooms with built-in robes and the main bathroom.

Upstairs, a second family room leads through to the gym and the master bedroom with walk-in robe and spa ensuite, which connects to the airconditioned nursery.

Additional features include split-system airconditioning, a new DeLonghi oven and Baumatic rangehood in the kitchen, a downstairs laundry with handy laundry chute, an outdoor storeroom with power connected, a security alarm system and a double garage with rear access.

“We’re also in a very friendly neighbourhood close to the beach and the city, and a two-minute walk to Little Sisto cafe, a little local gem,” Troy said.

“We really love this home and will be very sad to leave this behind.”
