The 16-year-old Cottesloe Golf Club member was selected to captain the Boys State Team in the Australian Junior Amateur Championships and Junior Interstate Series next month.
‘I’m pretty happy, I like the group of boys, we have a good bunch,’ Luck said.
He is the only team member with state competition experience winning back-to-back State Junior Amateur and Junior Srixon championships last year.

‘I’d really like to improve my men’s national ranking this year,’ he said.
However, the Year 12 Hale School student is also studying four ATAR subjects this year.
‘I want to do well in my ATAR because it would open up opportunities to play golf at college in the US,’ Luck said.
‘The hardest thing (about playing golf and studying) is making sure you know when tests are when you get back.
‘I can catch up on school work before I go or when I get back but I need to make sure I have time to study for tests.’
Luck started playing golf five-and-a-half years ago after his golf-loving grandparents encouraged him to play.
Fellow Cottesloe Golf Club member Sherman Chua joins Luck on the state team.
