Volunteers in the area worked hard to help Australia outdo last year’s effort of 16,150 tonnes of rubbish collected from 7,341 sites nationally.

McDonald’s Ellenbrook and Beechboro licensee Richard Hill said over the past 24 years, volunteers had donated more than 26 million hours to Clean Up Australia Day and removed an estimated 288,650 tonnes of rubbish from across the country.

‘The teams at Ellenbrook and Beechboro Macca’s are proud to have contributed to this achievement,’ he said.
