TWO young actors from Ellenbrook and one from The Vines will star in this month’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Megan McDonald (19), Jessica Green (18) and Max Hughes (18), all students at Australian Performing Arts Network, will attempt to make their mark at Subiaco’s The Regal Theatre.
McDonald was cast in Grease, which was held at Theatre last year, and said she was looking forward to playing another challenging role, Chip the teacup.

“The character of Chip is very child-like and fun, so I’m looking forward to bringing him to life.”
The production will be Hughes’ first at the Theatre and he said he was happy and grateful to have the chance to play LeFou, villain Gaston’s offsider.
“The character has lots of energy, he’s quite ditzy and idiotic, which will be fun to play,” he said.
Green said she was looking forward to the performance.
“I’m really excited and feel really grateful to have been cast in the play,” she said.
“I would encourage people of any age to come and see the show; it will have something for everyone.”
Beauty and the Beast, presented by APAN Entertainment, opens August 25 and runs until September 3 at The Regal Theatre.
Tickets can be purchased via Ticketek.
