THE Ellenbrook RSL sub branch will hold a special event as part of Veterans’ Health Week this month.

The sub branch will be holding their own free Veterans’ Health Day at the Ellenbrook Library to encourage a healthier lifestyle for veterans living in the area.

Frank Mallard from the Ellenbrook RSL sub branch said the event would include information from several local medical professionals to offer support and advice.

“We’ll be having staff from Broadway medical covering GP, physiotherapy, Pilates, remedial massage, nutrition and someone from the Aboriginal Health Service to help veterans improve their health,” he said.

“Each year Veterans’ Health Week encourages people to get active, but this year we thought we would take it a step further and bring people together and give professional advice on how to live a healthy and active life.”

Veterans from Ellenbrook and surrounds are encouraged to register to come along, with catering provided over the course of the day.

The event will run from 8am to 4pm on October 26 at the Ellenbrook Library.

To register contact Frank Mallard on 0408 183 325.
