Football: Ellenbrook Eels reserves set up grand final clash with Piara Waters

Lisa ThomasThe Advocate

The Ellenbrook Eels reserves team will play Piara Waters this weekend in the C3 grade amateur grand final after a convincing 42-point win over Cottesloe, 8.19 (67) to 4.1 (25).

Sadly, the league side was not strong enough to beat Dianella Morley.

The side started strongly, kicking the first three goals, but was quickly overtaken by Dianella Morley and lost their grand final hopes by 26 points, 14.13 (97) to 11.5 (71).

The game marks the end of another successful season for the league, finishing third in the competition.

Ellenbrook colts also suffered a loss, with a 45-point loss to Jandakot Jets on Saturday. The team finished third in a very strong competition and the result shows that the ever-improving colts side is going from strength to strength.

The final score was Jandakot 13.9 (87) to Ellenbrook 6.6 (42).
