Redkite helping children with cancer at Christmas

SHOPPERS can help families affected by cancer this Christmas.

National charity Redkite, which supports children and young people with cancer and their families, has predicted that demand for financial assistance from cancer patients will rise by 20 per cent across WA in the lead up to Christmas.

Marketing and fundraising general manager Monique Keighery said Christmas could be a challenging time for many families.

“Some families will get the devastating news that their child has cancer and hundreds of children will be undergoing treatment or facing cancer’s impacts,” she said.

“We know from previous years that demand for Redkite’s support, including financial help and counselling sessions, is likely to increase.”

Until December 27, Coles shoppers can buy a $2 Redkite donation card at stores in Alexander Heights, Banksia Grove, Beldon, Greenwood, Hillarys, Joondalup, Clarkson, Wanneroo, Warwick and Hillarys.
