How to start up your own small business: Girrawheen Hub workshop to pass on tips

THE Girrawheen Hub will hold its first workshop next Tuesday, providing information for budding entrepreneurs interested in launching a business.

The ‘How to start up your own small business’ workshop will focus on defining a market, developing confidence, seizing business opportunities and pitching to win work.

DEVISE Professional Development business manager Kristen Reddin will run the workshop at the hub, which opened earlier this year.

Events and workshops held at the hub provide residents and jobseekers with advice on how to set up a business or join the workforce.

The hub also provides financial planning assistance, and small businesses can rent office space and hire meeting rooms.

The August 29 workshop will run from 9.30am-noon at 11 Patrick Court, Girrawheen.

Tickets cost $20. Book at www.businessfoundations.com.au.
