MAYBE you could call them the ‘tri-kwondo’ brothers.

Twins Daniel and Stefan Vojnovic (14) with younger brother Nikolas (11) form a talented trio of black belt taekwondo siblings.

The Wanneroo residents were recently chosen to feature in the Australian Cadet Selections tournament in Canberra for a chance to earn a place on the national team for the world championships.

The tournament, held every two years, was for black belt competitors aged 12 to 14.

While the trio was unsuccessful in earning a berth for Australia, Daniel won a silver medal and Stefan won bronze.

Nikolas, one of the youngest combatants at the tournament, did not place.

This week they head to Malaysia for the Classic International Open Taekwondo Championship. They are part of a team of more than a dozen fighters from the WA emerging athlete program.

The trio train with Rawlins Taekwondo and have been involved in the sport for five years.

Their mother Fiona believes their shared passion has brought them closer together as brothers.
