A NEERABUP motorcycle club has received City of Wanneroo support for a State funding grant.

Councillors voted to support Speedway Motorcycle Club of WA’s Community Sporting and Recreational Facilities Fund (CSRFF) application at their August meeting.

The club is seeking more than $42,000 to install transportable first aid and toilet facilities at its Pederick Road site, which will enable it to obtain a track licence from governing body Motorcycling WA.

The City will submit the application on behalf of the club but is not expected to contribute funding.
